About Phil Green
Phil is an award-winning comedian, writer and podcaster. His highly personal material and likeable persona have seen him become a rising star of the UK comedy scene selling out multiple runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, London’s Soho Theatre and a UK Tour.
In his first few years in stand-up Phil reached the finals of a number of new act competitions. In 2022 his debut hour '90s Boy: Blair, the Lovegun & Me' sold out its entire run at the Edinburgh Fringe and was nominated for best show in the Amused Moose Comedy Awards. The show was subsequently selected for Pleasance London's Best of Edinburgh showcase and Soho Theatre for Soho Rising, a season of shows celebrating up-and-coming acts.
Phil's second hour 'Four Weddings and a Breakdown' won a Durham Comedy Festival award, was a smash hit at Edinburgh Fringe 2023, again selling out the entire run, and was also featured on BBC Radio 4. His third hour 'A Broken Man's Guide to Fixing Others' was nominated for best stand-up show in the Greater Manchester Fringe Awards 2025 and again went on to pack out at Edinburgh Fringe where it received a British Comedy Guide recommendation.
Away from performing on stage Phil has written for and been heard on BBC Radio 4's Newsjack and DM's are Open. His TikTok views are in the tens of millions and he also co-presents award nominated podcast Believe? The Myths & Conspiracies Pod which has developed a huge YouTube following. Phil has also directed multiple award-nominated live comedy shows.
